When it left the factory the Daimler Ferret was normally equipped with certain removable tools and items in accordance with the 'Table of Tools and Equipment' or 'Complete Equipment Schedule'. This detailed the equipment normally required by the British Army to allow crews to operate and maintain vehicles effectively.

FRONT HATCH / ENGINE DECK LID KEY
Hatch key to fit the Daimler Ferret drivers hatch, rear engine deck and rear engine deck lids. A must for any owner, it allows you to secure your ferret at a showground or the local shops and is required for removal of the rear engine deck.

GEAR BOX DRAIN PLUG TOOL
Drain Plug Key for the Gearbox on the Daimler Ferret Scout Car. Allows you to both drain and top up your gearbox oil, which is an important part of the maintenance schedule. Also suitable for Saracen, Saladin and Stalwart.

FLUID FLYWHEEL FILLER PLUG TOOL
Tool for securely and safely removing the Fluid Flywheel filler plug. If dropped, the fluid flywheel filler plug dissapears into the gearbox bell housing and could result in the gearbox needing to be removed to retrieve it! This handy tool securely fixes to the filler plug ensuring it can't be dropped during fitting or removal.

SPLINTER SCREEN FOR SIDE VIEW-PORTS
The splinter screen fits the mountings on the inside of the left and right hand side view ports on the Daimler Ferret Scout Car. Designed to prevent splatter from incoming fire or nearby explosions injuring the crew, a third spare screen is usually fitted to a holder on the right hand side of the driver.

FUEL TANK / WHEEL HUB OIL DRAIN PLUG TOOL
This specially tapered drain plug tool is used for removing the petrol tank drain plugs that are accessed from the underside of the Daimler Ferret. The drain plugs are often of a tapered design requiring this tool. It can also be used on the wheel hub filler plugs if they are the tapered type or it can be cut down slightly to provide a square end for later oil plug types.

INSPECTION LAMP
24v Inspection Lamp to suit the Daimler Ferret. A useful part of the CES, the inspection lamp plugs into the power socket in the Daimler Ferret. Fitted with a long lead for working all around the vehicle.
